So, I just had my fourth baby. She's adorable, and I absolutely love everything about her. But I'm not loosing any of the weight. Partly because I'm old and slow, and partly because I'm running out of time (and energy) and eating out. Like, eating out a LOT. So, here is a record of what I'm going to do about it.
First off, I need to start keeping track of how much I'm eating. It's a slow start, but I've decided to use the MyFitnessPal app. They have a big database of calories, and you can log exercise (if you do any). My eating is out of control. This is step one.
Step two is to get moving. I have joined several gyms through the years, and have never gone to any of them for more than a month. So, I'm not wasting my money on a gym membership that I never use. Also, I'm not really into exercise of any kind, so I have to find something I like to do.
Now, as the title of this post implies, I'm not into diet foods. Bland, uninteresting, and substitute foods are not for me. But I do think the key to loosing weight is in not eating out. Just picture me on a high horse rambling about processed foods with huge portions, and that'll about cover it. Now that I'm done complaining about the villainy of take away food, I'm going to reiterate that I'm not going on some cray-cray diet either. I'm not substituting low-fat cheese, leaving out the carbs, or basing my meals around quinoa. I've tried that stuff, and nothing will make be run to the closest drive-thru than suffering through that again.
So, in a nutshell, if I want it, I can have it, I just have to make it. See? Simple plan. Now to find something to get me moving...
